Established in 2003 the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards strives to recognise and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the industry, covering an area which stretches from Shetland to Campbelltown and the Outer Hebrides to the Cairngorms. 

The HITA Board of Directors comprises of industry led volunteers who are driven by their passion and commitment to tourism. The Board’s vision is to deliver a unique and outstanding celebration which recognises the very best in the Highlands and Islands Tourism Industry.

HITA promotes and encourages excellence within tourism, formally recognising best practice through a fair, open and honest judging process, allowing our winners to progress into the national stage at the Thistle Awards.
