Susan Russell, Head of Marketing, Communications & Sponsorship, Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society
With over 20 years of experience across the tourism, events, culture, hospitality and travel tech industries, Susan is currently the Head of Marketing, Communications and Sponsorship at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society. Supporting delivery of the world’s largest cultural event, Susan leads the MarComms team across areas of strategic planning, audience development, global communications, stakeholder engagement and commercial income generation.
Susan is also the Founder of Women In Tourism, a national not-for-profit membership organisation with a mission to support, motivate and encourage women into positions of leadership. She is a graduate of Edinburgh Napier University through her degree, and also participation in the 2014/15 Destination Leadership Programme. She also recently graduated with Merit from the Executive MBA programme at the University of Edinburgh Business School where she also completed the Executive Women's Leadership Programme.
