His experience spans the full spectrum of the industry, from years spent honing the security and crowd management nuances of small-to-medium venues and local events to leading multi-agency operations for global spectacles. This includes a deep familiarity with Scotland's premier venue environments, through overseeing delivery at the Scottish Event Campus, National Stadium Hampden Park, SWG3 Glasgow, Royal Highland Centre and Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

Gary shapes and oversees the region's most significant event portfolios, bringing a strong blend of innovation and practical delivery insight to high-profile projects like the UCI World Cycling Championships 2023. He is widely recognized for his work as the Head of Security and Crowd Management for TRNSMT and the Glasgow & Edinburgh Summer Sessions, as well as his multi-year leadership at the Royal Highland Show and Terminal V. His portfolio also includes critical large-scale deployments such as Operation Unicorn 2022 in Edinburgh and UK tours for global icons like Beyoncé.
