Digital connectivity is a key part of both the Tourism 2030 strategy and Scottish Government Framework. The ever-changing modern world had begun to see a shift in consumer behaviour towards digital and technology and, in turn, we saw the acceleration of digital booking and technology procurement and use within businesses.
This category celebrates those businesses that have adapted to embrace the change in order to provide a better customer experience, engagement and/or improve business efficiency. Examples of this might be unique digital marketing, a digital or technological initiative, an app, the virtual provision of products/services and more – any initiative that has provided greater access to a product, service or destination to a wider audience.
Who Should Enter:
Open to any business that touches upon the tourism and hospitality sector – whether you are an accommodation provider or visitor attraction using a new digital platform in an innovative way, or a business that has created and is providing the digital platform/technology itself.
Whether the initiative was one already in the pipeline and simply accelerated/adapted due to Covid-19, or whether it was only implemented as a result of the pandemic, we want to hear about it – enter now!
