In her role as Head of EventScotland, Rebecca is responsible for leading Scotland’s national major event organisation to attract and secure major sporting and cultural events. The team's primary focus is to build on Scotland’s credentials as a leading events destination. As part of this, they bid for and develop a strong sporting and cultural events portfolio with the help of direct investment and other support.

Rebecca joined EventScotland in September 2023 from UK Sport where, as Senior Major Events Consultant, she developed a wealth of event experience both at national and international level. Prior to her role at UK Sport, Rebecca held roles at London 2012 and Scottish Rugby Union. She also worked at EventScotland as an Event Manager working on a wide-ranging portfolio of sport and cultural events including Piping Live! and Glasgow International.
