Plenary session: Panel Discussion - The Event Industry Advisory Group

Julia leads the membership body for Edinburgh’s major international festivals, Festivals Edinburgh.  This collective development organisation works on shared priorities to develop Edinburgh as a world leading sustainable festival city which is globally minded, locally rooted and creatively led.  

She leads joint working in six key areas including international exchanges, festival city marketing, community engagement, integrated planning, environmental sustainability, and evaluation and investment models. Julia previously held senior posts at the British Council, the UK’s international cultural relations organisation, at national trade and investment body Scottish Development International, and at the Scottish Funding Council for Further and Higher Education.
