Jane Cooper is the founder and Managing Director of Access & Inclusion UK which provides professional access consultancy, training, auditing and inclusive design services to clients in all sectors throughout the UK. She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered MCIPD), has an honours degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology and a Post-Graduate diploma in Human Resources Management.
As well as being an access consultant and training and development professional, Jane is also mum to a severely disabled daughter meaning that she brings first-hand insight, lived experience and a practical, down-to-earth approach to everything the company does.
Jane is a founder member of the England Inclusive Tourism Action Group and an Honorary Executive In Residence at Sheffield Hallam University. She is a reviewer for the Rough Guide to Accessible Britain, has appeared on BBC Breakfast and is a judge for some of the country’s top tourism awards. Most recently, Access & Inclusion UK, was commissioned by VisitEngland to create a new Accessible Tourism Toolkit for destinations and the company has recently developed a new, online training resource for event volunteers for VisitScotland.
Combining her professional expertise in access consultancy, training and development and business improvement with her first-hand experience of disability, Jane’s insight provides a unique contribution to the improvement of accessibility in the UK.
