Chris Foy is CEO of VisitAberdeenshire, incorporating the Aberdeen Convention Bureau. His 30 years of tourism industry experience includes roles at Visit London, London Development Agency, in the heritage attractions sector and at VisitBritain. As head of VisitBritain’s 2012 Games unit, Chris led the implementation of a strategy to spread the tourism benefits of the Games to the whole of the UK before taking the helm of VisitBritain’s global network operations, prior to a secondment to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He returned to VisitBritain to oversee the GREAT Inverness Loch Ness project and finally as Head of Business Events.
