Journey: The Business Events Conversation 2026 - Network, learn, and reconnect as the Scottish business events community comes together.

At the upcoming edition of Journey: The Business Events Conversation, we invite you to join an inspiring exploration of this year’s theme, “Rising to the Challenge.”

We will bring together professionals, innovators and leaders from across the business events sector to reflect on the realities shaping our industry today and the opportunities that come from facing those challenges head-on.

Across a dynamic day of discussion, connection and collaboration, delegates will engage in meaningful conversations about the forces influencing our work, from shifting political and economic landscapes to questions of inclusion, sustainability and transformation.

Expect to be part of an environment where diverse perspectives meet, where ideas are tested and expanded and where growth, both personal and professional, is at the heart of every exchange.

Returning favourites from previous years will feature alongside new interactive experiences designed to spark creativity and action. As we look ahead to the challenges and opportunities, Journey: The Business Events Conversation will provide a space for honest debate, shared learning and renewed energy for the path forward.

• You are giving your personal data to VisitScotland as the data controller, for the purpose of registering for and administering your attendance at a business event conference. 

• You are being asked to provide your name, email address and organisation name and details where applicable.  You will also be asked for information about access or dietary requirements you have. 

• If you do not provide the information requested we may not be able to administer your attendance at the conference. 

• Your personal data will be processed on our behalf by Microsoft and EventsAir,  both processors contracted to VisitScotland, Microsoft is located in the UK and EventsAir is a company located in the EEA. Information about your attendance will be shared with the conference venue and is protected by the terms of the contract between VisitScotland and the venue. 

• Your personal data will be held on this system for six months and will then be securely deleted.  Access and dietary data will be deleted one month following the conclusion of the conference. 

• The lawful reason for processing your information is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the exercise of official authority vested in VisitScotland.  The lawful reason for processing any access or dietary requirements is your explicit consent for us to do so. 

• Your personal data will be processed in the UK and EEA.

Filming & Photography Notice

By attending Journey: The Business Events Conversation, you acknowledge that photographs and filming may take place during Journey: The Business Events Conversation. VisitScotland reserves the right to use images and videos recorded during Journey: The Business Events Conversation with your photograph and/or likeness in future marketing materials, including social media channels, websites, and print material, without obtaining any further approval from you or making any payment to you. If you do not wish your photograph to be taken during Journey: The Business Events Conversation, then please inform our team during the conference and we will use reasonable endeavours to comply with your request.
