IMEX Frankfurt

IMEX Frankfurt is the largest trade show in Europe for the global meetings and events industry. The 3-day event welcomes 12,000 participants from around the world, with around 4,000 hosted and visitor buyers expected from over 90 different countries.

Who will you meet?

As a truly global event, buyers are worldwide, with a high concentration from Germany, USA, UK, rest of Europe and South America. Buyers are primarily event agencies, corporate event planners, and association event organisers. Take a look at last year's show stats here

VisitScotland stand attendance includes:

•    A pod for your organisation on the VisitScotland branded stand situated in the UK zone.
•    Seated pods equipped with individual tablet holders, lockable storage, and your company branding. Individual pods seat up to 3 people at a time.
•    Limited additional seating available on stand when no destination presentations or on-stand events are taking place.
•    Private Wi-Fi access.
•    Refreshments throughout the show for you and your clients by our on-stand caterer.
•    On-stand destination presentations and events to attract buyers.
•    Pre-show marketing by VisitScotland.
•    Access to your own personal online portal on the IMEX Frankfurt website including appointment schedules.
•    Individual scanner on trade show app to collect opted-in data of attending buyers.
•    Access to the full IMEX Frankfurt Education Programme.

Please note: partners are required to share topline information regarding enquiries received during and post-show.

Cost:

Option 1: Individual Company Pod - £10,650 + VAT

Please note:
•    This cost excludes travel and subsistence.
•    While no fees are charged for additional delegates attending from your organisation, pods only comfortably fit 3 people, and maintaining more than one appointment diary simultaneously means you may not have adequate space in your pod to do this.
•    Pod sharing with different companies unavailable.

Option 2: Two combined pods with additional seating - £12,250 + VAT per pod (£25,000 + VAT)

Please note:
•    Particularly suited to convention bureaux and conference centres or two complementary organisations holding joint appointments.
•    Combined pods include one additional fixed bench sitting 3 people between them (images available on request).
•    2 combined pods available on stand on first come, first served basis (£25,000 + VAT).

Please note that spaces are strictly limited for all opportunities. VisitScotland needs to ensure that the mix of suppliers meets the need of the buyers and therefore reserves the right to make the final selection.

In the event of oversubscription, selection criteria may include:

•    Event registration received within the deadline period.
•    Regional spread of partners – opportunity for partners across Scotland to be represented.
•    Appropriate split of partners suitable for the event: such as across hotels, venues, and DMOs.
•    Suitability of the partner’s business to effectively deliver requirements of the Business Events sector targeted at the event.
•    Previous opportunities to participate. 

Registering your interest does not commit you to attend at this stage, please note that if you are subsequently offered a space and cannot confirm your attendance, your space may be forfeited and offered to those on the waiting list.

Like other public bodies, at this stage it is unclear what our budgetary position will be for the financial year 25/26. We invite you to register your interest for IMEX Frankfurt 2025, with the caveat that VisitScotland attendance will not be 100% confirmed until the end of February 2025. Current costs given are to the best of our knowledge. As events are contracted, VisitScotland reserves the right to amend if required.
