IMEX America

IMEX America is the largest trade show globally for the meetings and events industry. The 3-day event welcomes over 15,000 participants from around the world. Around 5,500 hosted and visitor buyers are expected from over 65 different countries.

Who should consider attending?

IMEX America is ideal for businesses and organisations focused on attracting international business event groups, including convention bureaux, destination management organisations, destination management companies, conference and exhibition centres, luxury and resort hotels, and event venues.

Who will you meet?

As a truly global event, buyers are worldwide, with a high concentration from the United States, Canada and South America.  Buyers are primarily event agents, corporate event planners, and associations event organisers. Take a look at last year’s stats here.

VisitScotland stand attendance includes:

•    A pod for your organisation on the VisitScotland branded stand situated in the UK zone.
•    Seated pods equipped with individual tablet holders, lockable storage, and your company branding. Pods seat up to 3 people at a time.
•    Limited additional seating available on stand when no destination presentations or on-stand events are taking place.
•    Private Wi-Fi access.
•    Refreshments throughout the show for you and your clients by our on-stand caterer.
•    On-stand destination presentations and events to attract buyers.
•    Pre-show marketing and sales support by VisitScotland and agencies.
•    Access to your own personal online portal on the IMEX America website including appointment schedules.
•    Individual scanner on trade show app to collect opted-in data of attending buyers.
•    Access to the full IMEX America's education programme.

Please note: Partners are required to share topline information regarding enquiries received during and post-show.

Cost:

£12,950 + VAT. Please note this cost excludes travel and accommodation. Spaces are strictly limited for all opportunities. VisitScotland needs to ensure that the mix of suppliers meets the need of the buyers and therefore reserves the right to make the final selection.

In the event of oversubscription, selection criteria may include:

•    Event registration received within the deadline period.
•    Regional spread of partners – opportunity for partners across Scotland to be represented.
•    Appropriate split of partners suitable for the event: such as across hotels, venues, and DMOs.
•    Suitability of the partner’s business to effectively deliver requirements of the Business Events sector targeted at the event.
•    Previous opportunities to participate. 

Registering your interest does not commit you to attend at this stage, please note that if you are subsequently offered a space and cannot confirm your attendance, your space may be forfeited and offered to those on the waiting list.

Like other public bodies, at this stage it is unclear what our budgetary position will be for the financial year 25/26. We invite you to register your interest for IMEX America 2025, with the caveat that VisitScotland attendance will not be confirmed until the end of April 2025. Current costs given are to the best of our knowledge. As events are contracted, VisitScotland reserves the right to amend if required.
