Events Industry Development Webinar - Emergency Services & Events
VisitScotland (including EventScotland) is the government funded national agency for tourism and events. VisitScotland is committed to supporting the events sector by providing a wide range of free to access business support opportunities that respond to the priorities outlined in the National Events Strategy, Scotland The Perfect Stage 2024 - 2035.
As part of this programme of support we are pleased to be working with key industry partners to deliver a series of Events Industry Development Webinars from September 2025 to March 2026. These webinars provide expert advice on a wide range of relevant topics, plus an opportunity for questions and discussion, and to explore practical applications tailored to individual events.
This webinar is delivered in partnership with Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, and Scottish Ambulance Service. It will provide an important opportunity for speakers and participants to feedback on engagement between emergency services and event organisers over the past summer period, to help inform and shape future plans and approach.
Speakers include:
- Brian Fraser, Chief Inspector (Police Scotland)
- Garry Marshall, Area Commander (Scottish Fire & Rescue Service)
- Lisa Forrest, Business Support Manager (Scottish Ambulance Service)
There is no charge to attend this Microsoft Teams webinar, but registration in advance is required. Further information and final details will then be emailed directly to registered attendees.
Date & Time:
Thursday 27 November, 2pm-3pm.
