The event provides tourism businesses from Argyll & The Isles with an opportunity to discover the landscape of travel distribution in a global marketplace, learn about different routes to market and how to create sustainable tourism experiences for the travel trade.

This seminar-style event includes a series of short presentations, followed by an interactive session to discuss individual business requirements in a collaborative or one-to-one setting.

The workshop is tailored to businesses early on their journey of travel distribution. Whether you run a charming guest house, group friendly restaurant, a boutique hotel, a must-see attraction or an unforgettable experience - this introductory workshop is designed to help you grow business at quieter times of the year.

Please note there is no charge to attend, but the event is ticketed. Spaces at the event are limited. If demand exceeds supply a waitlist will be opened.

These Terms and Conditions set out the terms and conditions by which VisitScotland provides an event platform.  

 

Privacy Notice

  • You are giving your personal data to VisitScotland as the data controller, for the purpose of registering to attend our Business Development Workshop and for us to send you follow up communications including a feedback form.  If we want to use the information you provide for a different purpose we will inform you before doing so. 
  • You are being asked to provide your name, email address, job title/role, organisation name, business address, business website address, dietary and accessibility requirements if appropriate.  Photographs and video may be taken at the event; if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed please inform VisitScotland staff at the event. 
  • If you do not provide the information requested we may not be able to fully administer your attendance at the event.    
  • Your personal data will be processed by specialist systems contracted as data processors to VisitScotland as the data controller.  For this event these are:  Microsoft, Bloomreach, Canto and EventsAir. 
  • If you have an existing relationship with VisitScotland your personal data will be used to update our records which will be anonymised at the end of your relationship with us.  If you have no existing relationship with VisitScotland your personal data will be held for three months following the event and then securely deleted.  Dietary and access requirement data will be deleted within one month following conclusion of the event.  
  • The lawful reason for processing your information is contract. 
    • If you choose to share your contact details with other attendees, the lawful reason is consent. 
    • The special category data exemption which permits VisitScotland to process appropriate dietary or access information for this event is based on your explicit consent. By including this information in your email response and sending it to us you are providing us with such consent.  If you do not provide consent we may be unable to fulfil your requirements.  You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing business.support@visitscotland.com.  
  • Your personal data will be processed in the UK and the EU.
